Altamont Capital Management was founded by Libby Mihalka in 1996. At the time, ACM was the sole fee-only firm in Livermore and Libby was the only CFA in the entire Tri-Valley.

Since then ACM has moved into its new home two blocks from downtown Livermore. It is located in an historic 1890s Victorian at the corner of South K and 5th Streets.

We are proud to be the oldest fee-only firm in Livermore, Pleasanton and Dublin. With over ten years of experience, we provide the professional service and expertise you expect.

Libby Mihalka, President and Founder

Ms Mihalka is founder of Altamont Capital Management.

Prior to founding ACM, Ms. Mihalka managed funds for several major public pension funds including Cal PERS and Cal STRS and worked for an Investment Management Firm as a Portfolio Manager. She also worked as an analyst at major Investment Banking firms in New York City and San Francisco.

Ms. Mihalka began her career as an international auditor for a Large Multi-National Fortune 100 Company, working abroad in Paris, England, Hong Kong and Australia.

Ms. Mihalka holds an MBA in finance from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and in American Studies from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. In 1994 she earned the prestigious CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.

Jerrilynn Krebs, Office Manager and Tax Specialist

Ms. Krebs joined Altamont Capital Management in January 2001.

Prior to joining ACM, Ms. Krebs worked as an executive assistant in a law firm and has also been an active volunteer and fundraiser in the community.

Ms. Krebs is a licensed tax professional and has earned the prestigious Enrolled Agent (EA) designation.
